About Me

Hi! I am Manas, a Game Developer from India. I have been developing games for more than 4 years. I published my first game called 'Tactical Combat' on Google Play Store when I was 20 years old and have been developing many more games since then. I worked as a Senior Game Developer at Hitwicket (Metasports Media). I am currently pursuing my Masters at USC Games. Here you can see some of the projects that I have worked on until now.

Solo Game Projects

TACTICAL COMBAT

Tactical Combat is a board strategy game played online with random players and friends. This is a new strategy game where players have to play using tactics and visual memory. There is also a level system in the game to match players on online.

ESCAPE MAZE

This is single player maze game where player has to escape maze by finding the escape door and the keys to unlock it. But it's not that simple there are some bots spread across the maze who try to kill you, and you only have limited amount of time to escape.

CRAZY RUN

This is a simple infinite runner game that has five difficuly levels. This is the first game that I have developed, as a project in my college.

TOWER ASSAULT

Tower Assault is an exhilarating 1v1 game where players engage in a strategic duel of wits and skill. One player assumes the role of the Ground Player, utilizing a variety of abilities and obstacles to reach the Tower, while their opponent, the Tower Player, is armed with an arsenal of weapons. With dynamic gameplay that demands quick thinking and fast reflexes, players must outmaneuver and outplay their opponents to achieve victory.

MAZE WAR

Maze War is an online 5 vs 5 action fps game. The arena of the game is a maze which is randomly generated for each game. There are 2 teams in the game (Blue and Red) consisting of 5 players. The maze is randomly distributed with 15 items (let us call them ‘coins’). There is container placed at a team base. Every team must collect store these coins in these containers. The team with highest coins in container at the end of game wins the game..

Prime Engine

PrimeEngine is a C++-based 3D game engine, originally developed by Artem Kovalovs. I had the chance to get hands-on with this engine during my Master's program at USC.

I have added new features in this Engine such as Camera Frustrum Culling, Physics System, Data driven Animation System, New Level Builder with flexible Components and Object creation

Axon Enterprise

Software Development Intern - VR

Axon develops various technologies aimed to protect life which are primarliy used by law enforcement.
Technologies Used: Unity, XR Plugin, Microsoft Speech Recognizer, ChatGPT(LLM).

Responsibilities/Work:

  1. Worked on AI Conversational Training project which helps to train police officers on how to diffuse various situations in a virtual environment by verbally communicating with different types of NPCs which are powered by various AI technologies like Speech Recognizers, LLM, TTS.
  2. Primarily worked on Unity with XR libraries.
  3. Implemented Application Framework, UI/UX, Speech Recognition and Dynamic Ending of a Scenario.

Hitwicket(Metasports Media)

Game Developer

Mobile Sports Games Development Studio.
Technologies Used: Unity, AWS, Node JS, Photon, Firebase, MongoDB.

Responsibilities/Work:

  1. Worked on many aspects of mobile games such as multiplayer, UI/UX, optimizations, animations, e.t.c
  2. Worked on researching and implementation of some new technologies in our project from scratch like Multiplayer System (Photon Pun), Google Instant Games (Google Play Core SDK), Asset Bundle System (Addressables).
  3. Worked on In-Match 3D animations and Physics
  4. Worked on many small in-game features like Multiplayer Mode, Equipments, Offline WT, Player Age, e.t.c in a project named Hitwicket Superstars.
  5. Refactoring of some old code in the project
  6. Troubleshooting Crashes and ANRs in android games
  7. Profiling and Optimizing the current projects
  8. Worked sometimes on Backend functionality of game with technologies like NodeJs and MongoDB.
  9. Worked on new project called Legends from Scratch.
  10. Reviewing code of my peers.
  11. Mentoring new interns in the team
  12. Interviewing new Game Developers.

Android Developer Intern

An android app which organizes online singing competitions
Technologies Used: Android Studio, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Cloud Functions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Worked on both frontend(Android Studio - Java) and Backend (Firebase Cloud Function - NodeJS) for intial version of the product.
  2. Worked on features like Participant Levels , User Referral System, Embedded Youtube Player and App Wallet.
